INTRODUCTION
A totally new concept in residential elevators. The first elevator designed to retrofit existing homes on an outside wall or deck. No shaft enclosure or major structural modifications are required. The system places virtually no loads on the building structure.

The relevé elevator is driven by synchronous DC motor technology. Power comes from self-contained batteries. There are no high pressure hydraulic components, no extra mechanical room, no high powered winch motor and no winding cable drums. Up and down movement is silent and velvet smooth. A very small amount of external power keeps the batteries charged. All critical components are fault redundant and multiple braking systems are employed to make the system extremely safe.

Finally, the relevé elevator features a sleek, low cost, modern design resembling the atrium glass elevators common in luxury hotels.

However, the project has been in development at iVideoTrack for the last two years and the concept described herein is ready for "prototype" development when funding becomes available.
